When I began to realise that my success (or to be more accurate, my lack of success) online was because I didn’t stick at anything long enough to give it a real shot, I decided to set up a new site were I would publicly share my actions and results from following a particular strategy. I’d give each strategy a good month of work, and if I didn’t see some promising results by the end of the month, I’d move on. If I did see results, I’d stop the daily updates to the site, but I’d keep on working at the strategy.
I think I’ve re-launched that site about 3 times now.
But… times move on. People change. I change. And I’ve got some interesting life changes coming up soon. So I’ve started to buckle down – hence my recent (and near future) rash of product micro-launches.
So I thought I’d dust off MonthlyStrategies.com to give it another shot. Take a look at it if you’re interested in seeing what I’m up to aside from what goes on here. I will announce each strategy here, so that you’re aware of it, but I won’t give further updates on the progress except at Monthly Strategies.
If you are using the Caffeinated Content plugin for WordPress, you’ll know what a pain it can be having to A) remember to login to grab new content, and B) actually doing it.
And compound this with the strategy that most people are using it with, where they have multiple blogs.
I faced the same pain, so I’ve written a scheduling application which runs quietly on my server updating my blogs for me automatically with new content. Without me having to ever log into them again.
And I’m making that available for sale as well. Find out more here.
I’ve been working on a new product recently. If you’re into using blogs for your site content management, or if you’ve been looking into feeding Yahoo Answers into your blog, or if you’ve read the Ranking Loophole report, you’ll know about Caffeinated Content.
And you’ll also know that it’s a right royal pain in the ass to have to log into each blog seperately to run the Caffeinated Content plugin.
So, I’ve written a scheduler: one central admin tool that you use to track your Caffeinated Content installs, what content you want uploaded from which source, and all the other data that Caffeinated Content needs.
And my script faithfully triggers your Wordpress blog to run the Caffeinated Content upload of content – without you having to life another finger.
More info coming soon!
I’ve started a little side-project which I hope will take off, to measure the most popular in use Wordpress plugins.
Of course, there is a service that I’ll be kicking off on the back of this, and I’m using this free (and always free) “most popular plugins” site to gather some data on the plugins in use. Plus, I can give something back to the great WP community by sharing things like:
* Overall most popular plugins
* Most popular this week
* Fastest risers
* Fastest droppers
* New entries
etc.
I gather the data via a simple plugin that simply allows you to submit a list of all the plugins you’ve got installed and active.
If you’d like to participate, see Most Popular Plugins.
