XSitePro Tips

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Here are two tips that just occurred to me, and one that is one that I’ve been using a while.

I use XSitePro to create many of my sites, most of which are simple mini sites - a sales page or lead capture page, a subscription confirmation page, and maybe one or two others.

So I’ve created a snippet of code in HTML which is the GetResponse.com subscription form code. All I do is change the name of the campaign, and the URL to which people are rejected, and sometimes the text on the button as well.

Secondly, and this is the first idea that just occurred to me, is to create template pages for the subscription confirmation pages. Now, I believe this is possible by using some people, but I’ve never delved into the templates that XSitePro uses.

So, I’ve just taken the pages that I’ve created for Stay On Focus (my new, free, and simple tool for getting more done), and created snippets that contain the entire contents of the page. Now, they’re simple pages at the moment, but later I’ll add things like:

  • Instructions on how to whitelist my email address
  • Details of my helpdesk for issues
  • Details of other mailing lists or sites

Then following on from that, I’ll create a standard site that consists of all these pages already made up, and a blank sales page, and a blank lead capture page.

Then all I need to do is copy/paste from that standard site to a new one, and I’ve got the bare bones of a minisite made up.
