Automating The AYB Autoblogger

Now you've done all the setup, it's just a case of setting the script to run automatically.

Testing The Script

Test it manually a few times to make sure everything is OK, and tweak the templates or titles until you're satisfied. To test it, simply point the browser to the cron.php file in your AYB Autoblogger folder (eg: http://www.yourdomain.com/autoblogger/cron.php) Then check your blog for updates.

Setting Up Cron

Once you're happy with that, please re-name the cron.php file to something known only to you. That will prevent the file being run by someone maliciously.

Then set up a cron job in your hosting admin panel to run that file whenever you want to. The cron.php file (or whatever you call it) will create one post on your blog, based on one row of data from your .csv file. So if you want 2 posts every day, you'll need to set up your cron to run twice a day. If you are not sure how to do this, please contact your hosting support team.

Monitoring The Updates

This is simple - just subscribe to your blogs' RSS feed, and you'll be informed when you've had new updates.
